For the first time at EMACS, there will be a Cross Country race. It will be a 4k race that takes place on July 30., near Ceres Park (the main venue at EMACS 2017) on a surface that mainly consists of grass, although some parts of the route will have other types of surface. The venue will be the Cycling Track 400 m from the main venue.
The race will be an individual race only.
See below for the cross country course. The start and finish of the race takes place inside the cycling track, and likewise does the first and last lap (yellow course). In between those the athletes must run four laps outside the cycling tracks (blue course).
No personal drinks will be allowed. Medical staff will be present on the course and at the start and finish lines.
Athletes are warned that any pacing by persons not in the race is forbidden. The athlete will be disqualified without warning during the race.
