In 2017, Aarhus will be hosting EMACS.

Featuring new suburban athletics facilities at Viby and the refurbished city stadium of CERES Park, Aarhus looks forward to hosting this event and welcoming an expected more than 4,000 participating master athletes who will conquer our city during the 11 days of the championships. We hope to welcome an impressive total of up to 8,000 guests since many will bring attendants with them.

In 2004, Aarhus and Randers were the joint host cities of EVACS, and the 3,703 participating master athletes from all over Europe marked the streetscape and not least the two venues with scores of impressive results including several national, European and World records in the various age groups.

With neighbouring facilities in a city in progress, designated European Capital of Culture in 2017, we are convinced that we are able to create the perfect setting for many new records and great sporting moments.

See you in Aarhus in 2017!
